Membership

Membership in the club is a great way to learn about blacksmithing. Membership allows you to use the club’s resources at the shop, attend the monthly meetings, and you’ll get our monthly newsletter full of helpful information about metal work, and club events. We also have an annual banquet in January where the food is worth the $20 yearly dues all by itself. The banquet is also host to our annual auction where you can get amazing metal work related items.

What You Get

What to Do

The first time you come down be prepared to participate! We will pull you right in and get you heating and beating some metal right away!

1. Complete the membership application (1 per person required)
2. Submit the $20.00 annual membership (1 subscription covers everyone in the household)
3. Come visit us when the shop is open

What to Bring

Required

• Safety glasses (Not allowed on the shop floor without them)
• Non-synthetic shoes (leather is best. Synthetics can melt to your foot)

Optional

• Hearing protection (recommended but not required)
• Metal working hammer (if you have one. Often someone has some for sale for $10 to $20 each)
• Any project you want to work on
• Water - It gets hot. Stay hydrated! (We always have some but feel free to kick in a case or two now and then)
